We believe in radical honesty about the scale of our work. Right now, Tildacare sponsors one child: Grace. She is the heart of this programme — proof of what sustained commitment makes possible. We are actively working to extend this programme to more children, and every new sponsorship begins with a genuine conversation and a real commitment.
Child sponsorship at Tildacare is not a short-term intervention. It is a long-term commitment to walk alongside a child from their earliest school years all the way through to tertiary education — covering every cost, every need, and every milestone along the way.
We match each child with a sponsor (or a group of sponsors) who are committed to their journey. Progress updates, photographs, and milestones are shared with sponsors so they can see, concretely, the difference they are making.
This is personal. This is lasting. And right now, it is embodied in one extraordinary young woman: Grace.

Grace has been part of the Tildacare family since primary school. She has grown from a young girl in a rural community into a confident university student — and her story is the clearest proof we have of what this programme is for.
Why only one child? Because we believe in doing this properly — with genuine commitment, consistent support, and personal accountability. Grace has been with us from the beginning. From first contact to graduation, here's what a Tildacare child sponsorship looks like in practice.
We identify children in need of educational support through our community networks, and connect them with prospective sponsors.
The sponsor and foundation agree on the scope of support — fees, materials, welfare — and a plan is drawn up for the full academic journey.
Funds are disbursed each term. Sponsors receive regular progress updates, photos, and milestones so they can follow the child's journey closely.
The goal is a fully educated, independent young adult. When Grace graduates, it will be the culmination of a decade of shared belief and investment.
Child sponsorship at Tildacare is holistic. It's not just school fees — it's everything a child needs to show up fully and thrive academically.
Full termly or annual fees paid directly to the school or institution.
Textbooks, stationery, and all required learning materials for each academic year.
Full sets of school uniform including shoes, so the child attends school with dignity.
Where needed, basic welfare support ensures the child is properly nourished and cared for.
Access to medical care when needed, so health challenges don't derail educational progress.
Regular mentorship and career guidance from foundation volunteers and professional networks.
