How it began
The Tildacare Foundation was registered in Nigeria in 2015 with one clear-eyed belief: that poverty is not a natural state but a solvable problem — and that no one should face it alone.
From our first outreach, we worked in communities where the need was greatest and the spotlight shone least. We brought food, clothing, and medicine not as charity but as dignity — because every person deserves to be seen and helped.
What started as a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into a structured foundation with programmes that now touch thousands of lives across Nigeria. We've fed families during Yuletide when no one else would, put school materials in the hands of 2,000 children, supported healthcare outreach, and walked alongside one child — Grace — from primary school all the way to university.
We don't work within ethnic or religious lines. Human need doesn't respect those boundaries, and neither do we.
